Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have approved the liquid version of dronabinol, a lab derived ingredient tetrahydrocannabinol (THC); it is a future green light toward universal medical marijuana use. We at Novus, the nation’s first cannabis healthcare insurance plan in integrative medicine will study and learn the effectiveness of this med.

According to Medical Daily, “The
FDA's approval earlier this month, Syndros is now available by prescription to treat anorexia associated with weight loss in AIDS patients and to relieve nausea and vomiting in chemotherapy patients who don't respond as well to conventional treatments. However, it likely won’t give users the same high as the plant form. Still, it could help people suffering from a variety of chronic ailments, like cancer, to experience some (legal) relief”.

Novus being an integrative medicine insurance health plan we see that there are deficiencies in following areas:

1.    The ability to have the body to obtain the other medicinal compounds that are therapeutic use and;

2.    Lack of potency of the psychoactive version that is needed to those who suffer from chronic pain and PTSD

Frank Labrozzi CEO of Novus states “We applaud the Feds for trying but the one factor is if you take a pill that contains the entire plant your body will know which compounds it needs to combat disease and anxiety”.  Marijuana, unlike most modern day medicine, contains a wide range of chemical compounds. Scientists have identified over 60 unique molecules in cannabis known as cannabinoids, which include THC and CBD. The plant produces many other non-cannabinoid compounds that also have many medicinal effects.

There have been almost 10,000 prescriptions issued thus far in this great country of ours, but is the efficacy there? Novus will be the one to determine if we can add this to our arsenal of cannabis meds. As a medical marijuana health plan its our duty to our patient members to determine the facts, efficacy and total performance of this prescription drug and if works out then we will work to add this for our patient members. After all wellness is the main focus for Novus.

PS: Novus MedPlan cannabis health plan has many variations of benefit packages, and was named the top 8 medical marijuana companies by Forbes. We invite you to learn more

People abuse prescription drugs for a number of reasons because they know that it can give them medical benefits but some are overusing this and its not ok. Heres an article Some people were prescribed them by a doctor, developed a tolerance to them, and began abusing them.These people almost always end up addicted. So do you have any suggestion about this can be legalized or no?
